Millfield School

My work at Millfield School combined pastoral leadership, education and creative engagement with young people.

Across roles including Houseparent, Pastoral Manager and Centre Manager, I supported students within residential and educational environments, helping to create spaces centred on wellbeing, inclusion, personal development and community.

Music and creative practice formed an important part of this work. Alongside my pastoral responsibilities, I contributed to performances, workshops and creative activities that encouraged students to explore music as a form of expression, communication and collaboration.

Through concerts, events and participatory projects, I worked with students to develop confidence, creativity and a stronger sense of connection with one another.

This experience strengthened my interest in creative learning and artistic facilitation, particularly in how music can support self expression, collective participation and personal development within educational settings.
