Residency
in Sweden
This interdisciplinary residency in the Swedish countryside brought together musicians and artists from different practices to explore improvisation, collaboration and interdisciplinary creation.
Working within a shared creative environment, I took part in regular improvisation sessions and collaborative experiments, encountering different musical approaches and developing new work through exchange rather than predetermined repertoire.
The residency offered an opportunity to explore the violin outside conventional performance settings, particularly through spontaneous composition, recording and collaboration with artists working across music and moving image.
Selected Collaborations
Swedish Folk Song — Improvised Recording
An improvised instrumental accompaniment developed and recorded around a Swedish folk song, bringing together violin, cello, piano and voice.
Gonçalo Fernandes — Violin
Linnea Hildén — Cello
Zacharias Wolfe — Piano
Liv Nyberg — Voice
Performance Film Collaboration
A collaboration with Swedish cellist and producer Linnea Hildén, developing and recording an improvised musical track for a performance-art film.
The residency became an important experience in my development as a collaborative artist, strengthening my interest in improvisation and in creating music through dialogue with other disciplines and artistic practices.
